ART/SCIENCE COLLABORATIONS
Art-Science collaborations, if properly done, are a powerful stimulant for the artist, the scientist and the wider public who access the work. Often barriers exist where the work has input from the scientist but does not inspire the scientist in their research, or where the artist is merely used to communicate the science. At BIOSRI, we believe in a true collaboration, where everyone participates and is nurtured by their involvement. We are particularly keen to work with artists who incorporate the viewing public into the art works, However this means that we prefer to undertake radical exploratory art, and not representative art. Emergence is central to this approach. If, as an artist, you feel that you would enjoy this kind of collaboration then click HERE to contact us.
Current areas of interest include: Biological succession, anthropological transition, systems theory, diffusion-based evolution, thermodynamics, the role of landscape in the human journey, sustainable economics, ecospace, function, reductionism, artificial intelligence and the genetic code.
